TAE KWON DO
ASSOCIATION IRELAND SEMINAR 2009
 |
Master Kirkwood would like to take this opportunity to thank
Master Patrick White of the TAI Organisation of Ireland for
inviting him to undertake a seminar for the organisation on the
21st March, 2009. He
would also like to especially thank his Instructor and friend
Master John Darcy who supported him and attended the seminar
with him.

The
seminar attracted not only students from the TAI organisation,
but also from A.I.M.A.A Ireland. Master Kirkwood would like to
personally thank Mr Will Power, Ashling Ryan and Sean O Connell
who had travelled from Limerick (over 300 miles away from
Dublin) to attend the seminar, not only showing their dedication
to the art of Taekwondo, but also their support of Master
Kirkwood. Master Kirkwood would also like to thank Mr Gerry
Long, Mr Daniel Farrell and Mr Paul Healy for their support in
attending the event with A.I.M.A.A students. All the Instructors
and students from both associations had given up their Saturday
to attend the event and Master Kirkwood was overwhelmed by their
support.
The
seminars broke down the basics of point sparring showing the
basic moves for blocking and counter attacking. This was
followed by combinations of hand and leg techniques, as well as
introducing students to various exercises for strengthening the
body's core and producing explosive speed.
The
seminar was very informative, hard and fun, as each student
learnt new skills in sparring. The TAI students enjoyed this
seminar as did the A.I.M.A.A students who attended.
