Master Kirkwood once again organised the A.I.M.A.A Scotland Seminar to allow Instructors and Students in Scotland to benefit for the teachings of his Instructor and Mentor Master John Darcy.

Master John Darcy took to the Hall in front of A.I.M.A.A Scotland Instructors and Students.  He was accompanied by A.I.M.A.A Ireland Regional Director Master Peter Byrne and A.I.M.A.A Scotland Director Master John Kirkwood, who runs the A.I.M.A.A Scotland HQ from his Cho's School of Taekwondo in Blantyre.

The atmosphere was electric, with everyone in much anticipation of what lay ahead of them in this two hour seminar.  The Head Instructors of Cho's Schools throughout Scotland where in attendance. Mr Jim Lawson who runs the Glasgow Branch, Mr Karim Belgacem who runs the Hamilton & Larkhall Branch, Mr John Kirkwood Jnr who runs the Lesmahagow Branch and Mr Kevin Mc Lear who runs the Bellshill Branch. Also in attendance where all the assistant Instructors, club assistants and students from A.I.M.A.A Scotland.

The seminar started off with a warm up incorporating flexibility training and a gruelling abominable workout. From here it progressed to punching combinations and then diversified into kicking combinations. Master Darcy took the time to break down each technique and explain the principles behind the techniques from white belt to Black Belt.

The seminar also incorporated one-step techniques, and patterns. Master Darcy caught all the students out by asking for the patterns to be done in reverse, this was unusual for the students, but very entertaining, however it made the students concentrate more on their moves.

The two hour intense seminar ended on a high note with Master Darcy undertaking sparring techniques.

Master Kirkwood would like to thank his Instructor Master Darcy for his attendance not only to the Annual Student awards but for also undertaking a seminar for him and for A.I.M.A.A Scotland.

Master Kirkwood has asked Master Darcy to come back near the end of the year for another event and he has agreed to another visit for A.I.M.A.A Scotland Students and Instructors. We will inform everyone of the date and location nearer the time.

Master Kirkwood also would like to thank Master Peter Byrne for his attendance and support of A.I.M.A.A Scotland. Lastly a big thank you to the Instructors and students who helped set up the event on the day.
