Master Darcy,
Master Kirkwood, Master Byrne
Grandmaster Cho with AIMAA Ireland Students
Master John Kirkwood, has been involved with Tae-Kwon-Do for
over 35 years and has taught Tae Kwon-Do for over 25
years to students in Lanarkshire. Having first
established his club in Larkhall when he was in his
twenties he taught the community for over 20 years
before establishing the largest club in A.I.M.A.A
Scotland, which is in Blantyre Sports Centre. He
also teaches at Lesmahagow High School.
He has numerous
World, International and National Champions within
his school in Blantyre, and teaches specialised
courses in self defence, point and continuous
sparring, as well as body conditioning and
plyometrics. Over the
last decade he has went on produce many Black belts,
with some having went onto to become Instructors in
their own right.
As the Director of A.I.M.A.A Scotland he endeavours to
ensure that Grandmaster Cho's teachings and
philosophies are engraved into the minds of the
students in Scotland, and has close ties with Master
John Darcy, who is his Instructor and Mentor in
A.I.M.A.A Ireland.
