Dear
Fellow A.I.M.A.A Members
I would personally like to thank all of you for
your support and encouragement during my recent
test for 8th Degree. I am humbled by
being the first student of Grand Master Cho who
has tested for this rank. In reflecting on my
recent test I have realized that it training in
Taekwondo under Grand Master Cho and being a
member of the A.I.M.A.A is truly a gift from
God.
Our bi-annual Summer Camps are more like a
family reunion than a bunch of people just
getting together. It is an honour to train and
teach besides such outstanding instructors as
Master Darcy, Master Kirkwood and newly promoted
Master Fitzgerald. Not only are they phenomenal
martial artist they are true gentleman.
Grand Master Cho has always taught us that you
must be a martial artist both on and off the
dojang floor by the examples of the students and
instructors at this year’s camp I sincerely
believe that the A.I.M.A.A is heading in the
right direction.
I can not express my gratitude to all the
instructors who dedicated their time in helping
assist with instructing this year at camp, each
time we are all together it is evident in your
teaching how much you are improving and
training. Your innovative teaching methods are
following in the footsteps of Grand Master Cho
and your open minded attitudes will make all of
the A.I.M.A.A members worldwide “Complete
Martial Artist”
Two
A.I.M.A.A instructors that really stood out this
year were Mrs. Denise Farrell and Mr. Percy
Brown. Mrs. Farrell although plagued with some
serious health issues and a elderly father who
is sick that she takes care of trained, taught
and helped out as always during the entire week
of camp. Every time you see her she is smiling
and making everyone’s life better. She is always
the first to help and never complain. She is an
outstanding example for not only our A.I.M.A.A
women but for every member world wide. Next,
Mr. Percy Brown from Alabama. Mr. Brown is a
veteran who was wounded in battle and was
severely shot in the leg. Mr. Brown and his new
bride as well as students from his school, drove
over 16 hours to get to camp.
Mr.
Brown although in his 60’s train in every class
that was offered at camp. No excuses, no ego
whatever the instructor of the class said to do
Mr. Brown put in a 110% effort. I know in my
class that we were doing conditioning Mr. Brown
was right there with people a third his age
running, sparring and training hard. It is said
that the best way to learn is from example, I
could not think of a better example than Mrs.
Farrell and Mr. Brown for A.I.M.A.A members to
look up to and emulate.
In closing I would like to encourage all
A.I.M.A.A members to continue to train hard and
dedicate themselves to the future generation of
A.I.M.A.A members. As Grand Master Cho said I
train this hard and have dedicated my life to
Taekwondo for my students. Remember a good
student is never finished learning and a good
instructor is never done teaching. Meaning all
of us must be both a student and an instructor
to continue to pass on the legacy of our Grand
Master and Mentor Grand Master Hee Il Cho.

God bless you all.
Hope to see everyone soon, and remember my
dojang doors are always open to all A.I.M.A.A
Members Worldwide!
