Sunday the 11th of July 2010, is a day which will go down in
A.I.M.A.A history as the most historical testing we have ever
held within our association. This testing was not like any
other held before, as we witnessed the first A.I.M.A.A
Grandmaster being inducted into the association.
Master
Phillip Ameris, who is not only the Senior student of
Grandmaster Hee Il Cho but is also the A.I.M.A.A Technical
Director became Grandmaster Ameris, after his historical testing
in Washington D.C. His testing was exceptional to witness and is
a living testament to a lifetime of dedication to the art of
Taekwondo and Grandmaster Cho. Many people came from all over to
witness this historical day, and like everyone else within that
hall, sat there in awe of this fantastic martial artist and
A.I.M.A.A Master!
His testing was a combination of set patterns, one step, self
defence, floor work, theory and of course destruction. Master
Ameris broke stone blocks with his foot, after he was
unsuccessful at the hand technique. However, without a doubt his
baseball break (two bats) was unbelievable to watch and had
everyone on the edge of their seat in anticipation! To read

We
also had the honour to witness Mr Michael Fitzgerald from
A.I.M.A.A Ireland become the next A.I.M.A.A Master within our
fantastic association. Master Fitzgerald undertook patterns,
one-step, floor work, theory, self defence and destruction
within his testing.

Master Fitzgerald is a true gentleman and the
epitome of what a master is all about. To read Master
Fitzgerald's Thesis

It was an exceptional testing and everyone is so proud to have
this outstanding martial artist and gentleman at the helm within
A.I.M.A.A.
Within A.I.M.A.A we are so lucky to have truly exceptional
Masters who can guide us and enlighten us within our art. These
Masters and Grandmasters are truly gifted and honourable, and we
are so fortunate to have them at our side, as we journey through
Taekwondo.
