Welcome to the official A.I.M.A.A Scotland Website

All Schools are based in and around Central Scotland and practice the ITF style of Tae Kwon Do. The Head of A.I.M.A.A Scotland is Master John Kirkwood 6th Degree, who is the A.I.M.A.A Scotland Director.

All A.I.M.A.A schools are run under the guidance of World renowned GrandMaster Hee Il Cho 9th Degree.

Master John Kirkwood, has been involved with Tae-Kwon-Do for over 35 years and has taught Tae Kwon-Do for over 25 years to students in Lanarkshire. Having first established his club in Larkhall when he was in his twenties he taught the community for over 20 years before establishing the largest club in A.I.M.A.A Scotland, which is in Blantyre Sports Centre. 

He has numerous World, International and National Champions within his school in Blantyre, and teaches specialised courses in self defence, point and continuous sparring, as well as body conditioning. Over the last decade he has went on produce many Black belts, with some having went onto to become Instructors in their own right.

As the Director of A.I.M.A.A Scotland he endeavours to ensure that Grandmaster Cho's teachings and philosophies are engraved into the minds of the students in Scotland, and has close ties with Master John Darcy, who is his Instructor and Mentor in A.I.M.A.A Ireland.

Master Kirkwood invites all of A.I.M.A.A and all other organisations to participate in the annual Nationals. The two day event will be held in Blantyre Sports Centre on 10th and 11th of May.

The two day event covers Continuous sparring, One-Step teams, Forms, Team Forms, Creative Forms and Point Sparring for adults.
